The Haven Project

The Haven Project – Haven of Hope Christian Service’s (HOHCS) 10-year capital development project waskicked off at Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East on 27 October 2016. The ceremony was officiated byMr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Dr Chui Tak-yi, Cluster Chief Executive, Kowloon East Cluster of Hospital Authority, Dr Ng Sze-fuk, GBS, JP, Chairman of Sai Kung District Council, Professor Joseph Kwan, Chairman, Board of Directors, Haven of Hope Christian Service, Mr Chen Seng-tek, Stuart, Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Haven of Hope Christian Service, and Dr Lam Ching-choi, BBS, JP, Chief Executive Officer, Haven of Hope Christian Service.

Over 80 participants including Haven of Hope supporters, corporate partners, representatives from foundations, district councillors, government officials of Sai Kung District Office joined the luncheon today to witness the kick off ceremony. Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare and all other guests officiated the kick-off ceremony which officially announced the commencement of The Haven Project.

Innovativeness and progressiveness are the core values of HOHCS. Over the years, HOHCS has beenserving the society with the spirit of “Respecting Life‧Impacting Life” inherited from Sister Annie Skau, the founder of HOHCS. The Haven Project, which is a ten-year capital development project that aims at providing faith-based quality medical services to serve those in need through integrating HOHCS network’s know-how and experience in an innovative manner. Under The Haven Project, there are five sub-projectsmapped out with insights from our service experience and the macro social environment:

  1. the extension of Haven of Hope Woo Ping Care and Attention Home, please click here for more details;
  2. the expansion of Haven of Hope Hospital;
  3.  the extension of Haven of Hope Sister Annie Skau Holistic Care Centre;
  4.  the new standalone purpose-built care and attention home for severely disabled persons and nursing home;
  5. the new standalone day activity centre cum hostel for serverely mentally handicapped persons at Sunnyside School site.

The expansion of Haven of Hope Hospital has already kick-started in July 2016 and the remaining projects will commence by phases. 

Apart from the above capital development projects, a wide series of community engagement campaigns including Haven of Hope Christian Service Charity Run 2016, “Love‧Jewelry” Charity Drive, Charity Cantonese Opera and Mega Painting Day will be another highlight of The Haven Project.

基督教靈實協會近日收到善長反映,懷疑有騙徒冒充基督教靈實協會行騙,包括在街上邀請市民簽署授權書參加捐款計劃,並經信用卡自動轉賬捐款;亦有騙徒盜用信用卡資料,並以基督教靈實協會名義,向信用卡持有人多次進行交易。
基督教靈實協會特此澄清,本會並沒有派職員或任何人士代表本會在街頭發起上述籌募活動,在此呼籲各位善長提高警覺,提防任何冒充本會的籌募活動。
靈實對是次冒充事件非常重視,已即時嚴肅跟進,並報警備案。靈實絕不容許任何欺詐廣大熱心巿民善款的行為,將全力協助警方調查。如有捐款者懷疑被騙,請即聯絡警方。

Privacy Statement

 

General Principle

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Haven of Hope Christian Service (HOHCS) and/ or its service units is committed to safeguard the personal information of web users. Personal data, including but not limited to name, telephone number, facsimile number, address, email address, record of donation will only be collected to organize, coordinate and carry out activities to support or encourage charitable and /or health related works organized and undertaken by HOHCS and/ or its service units and to publicize and promote such works. All reasonably practicable actions shall be taken to ensure that personal data collected and retained are accurate and securely protected. No personal data shall be disclosed to other organization or individuals without consent of the web users.

 

Collection and Use

When web users visit the website of HOHCS, our service provider will only record their IP address and the pages browsed. No personally identifiable information shall be collected. The aggregate information about the number and types of visitors will be used for conducting analysis for website improvement.

 

Storage and Access

All personal information that web user provides to HOHCS is secured on HOHCS's server with restricted access. HOHCS reserves the right to use agents, who are bound by strict confidentiality guideline, to perform storage and processing functions. Only designated staff or agents are permitted to view user’s personal data.

 

Online Registration / Online Donation

When web users register or donate, their personal information will be securely encrypted, in which credit card information will only be collected by the Visa/Master companies via their payment gateway for the purpose of processing the donation payment. HOHCS will not disclose any of such information. Other personal information such as donor's name, telephone number, facsimile number, address, email address and record of donation will only be used for the purposes of issuing and sending of donation receipts and mailing of promotional materials by HOHCS.

 

Update and Removal

If web users would like to update or remove their personal information from the database of HOHCS, please email your request to crd@hohcs.org.hk or write to our Communications and Resource Development Department. Address is as follows:
