HOHCS Service

Sister Annie Skau Holistic Care Centre

Haven of Hope Sister Annie Skau Holistic Care Centre is a non-profit, self-financing nursing home. Upholding the spirit of “Respecting Life．Impacting Life” of Sister Annie Skau, founder of Haven of Hope Christian Service, the Centre provides holistic care integrating medical, nursing, rehabilitation and pastoral care services to the frail elders, chronically ill and late-stage cancer patients. The Holistic Care Centre has 100 beds in total. With our trans-disciplinary health care team, comprehensive facilities and tranquil environment, we strive to work hand in hand with our residents and their families to “Embrace the Last Journey with Love”, bringing comfort, dignity and peace to our residents in face of physical illness or even death.

  • Wide range of room choices from family suite, single room, double room to 3-7 beds room
  • Each ward floor with terrace garden, living room and dining room, creating a warm, serene and homely environment
  • Roof-top healing garden and green space at each floor to create a therapeutic environment for our patients
  • Well-equipped integrated rehabilitation centre
  • Multi-purpose activity room and Oasis Lounge (relaxation area for families and relatives)
  • Chapel
  • Purposely designed last-office facility, “Paradise of Love”, for families and relatives to privately farewell their beloved

Scope of Service

  • Geriatric Rehabilitation: Medical assessment and treatment conducted by geriatric specialists, complemented with Chinese medicine and acupuncture, aromatherapy, podiatry services etc. are provided for post-surgery or post-discharge elders who are in need of intensive rehabilitation and prolonged medical care in order to maximize the effectiveness of treatment during the golden period of rehabilitation.
  • Quality Infirmary Care: Different types of rooms ranging from single room, deluxe single room, double room and family suite are available to meet the individual needs of frail elders and patients for comfort stay and recovery under a peaceful environment. Daily medical round and professional nursing care are in place to provide individualized and quality long term care.
  • Cancer Adjustment and Supporting Service: Through case management model, our Cancer Adjustment and Supporting Service provides Holistic care service to cancer patients through home care nursing support by home care nurses for professional assessment and consultation. Patients can receive holistic care service while the patients are staying at home. On-site rehabilitation and nursing care as well as psycho-social spiritual support would also be provided to the cancer patients by our trans-disciplinary professional team
  • Palliative Care / End-of-life Care: Under the care team led by specialist physicians and nurses in geriatrics and palliative care, patients are provided with 24-hour professional and holistic care. Daily ward round by physicians (except holidays) ensures timely and effective symptom control and quality medical care. In collaboration with the medical and nursing teams, our chaplains and social workers regularly visit and comfort patients and their families, facilitating their encounter with God conducive to spiritual renewal and inner healing.
  • Holistic Home Care Services: Working closely with hospital and community partners, our homecare team provide quality and holistic home care services covering medical, nursing, rehabilitation and psycho-social & spiritual support to patients with terminal cancer/ other chronic irreversible illnesses of limited life expectancy so as to delay or avoid unnecessary admissions to hospitals and hence allow these patients to spend quality time with their loved ones in their familiar home environment for as long as possible.

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Haven of Hope Christian Service (HOHCS) and/ or its service units is committed to safeguard the personal information of web users. All personal information that web user provides to HOHCS is secured on HOHCS's server with restricted access. HOHCS reserves the right to use agents, who are bound by strict confidentiality guideline, to perform storage and processing functions. Online Registration / Online Donation

When web users register or donate, their personal information will be securely encrypted, in which credit card information will only be collected by the Visa/Master companies via their payment gateway for the purpose of processing the donation payment. HOHCS will not disclose any of such information. Other personal information such as donor's name, telephone number, facsimile number, address, email address and record of donation will only be used for the purposes of issuing and sending of donation receipts and mailing of promotional materials by HOHCS.

 

Update and Removal
