1911, Sister Annie had always wanted to become a nurse to serve those in need since childhood. \u00a0Therefore she enrolled herself into a nursing school right after finishing secondary education. \u00a0In 1932 she was baptized and formally became a member of the church. Through spiritual disciplines Sister Annie realized that God\u2019s calling for her was spreading the Gospel in Mainland China. Under her leadership, the Haven of Hope established a Tuberculosis Sanatorium, a Children Preventorium, and a Nursing School to cater for the medical and social needs of the local community. Until 1978, Sister Annie was officially retired and returned to Norway.<\/div><div>Sister Annie lived a legendary life and made enormous contributions to social service and evangelistic work. \u00a0She was recognised for her contribution and awarded the following medals:<\/div><ul><li>1961: The Florence Nightingale Medal, International Committee of the Red Cross<\/li><li>1963: First Class Saint Olav Knight&#8217;s Cross, Norway<\/li><li>1979: Order of the British Empire (OBE), Hong Kong<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-4a495b7 elementor-hidden-desktop elementor-hidden-tablet elementor-hidden-mobile elementor-section-boxed
