2019 HOPES RUNNER was a community-wide event that created connections and bond among the community. It promoted sports, embraced social inclusion and fundraised for the needy. Prolom Water was one ardent example from supporting partners who sponsored bottled water for the event to motivate runners and service users to do more for the community and stay positive. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>Prolom Water promotes sports and healthy living, while supporting philanthropy. Ivan Ivanov, CEO of Planinka Asia-Pacific Limited said, \u201cThe reason behind our support to HOPES RUNNER was that we highly appreciated HOHCS\u2019 mission of helping the underprivileged, and, providing services for them, particularly the elderly services.\u201d He continued, \u201cI was one of the participants of the charity run. 2018 Qile Cake gained supports from many local enterprises. They had even sent volunteer teams to join the Open Sale and succeeded in raising funds for Qile Cake. Universal Cleaning Services Ltd. under Universal Environmental Technology Ltd. is one of our keen and committed supporters.<\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cWhile we were making plans for our volunteer team and corporate responsibility programmes last year, we came across HOHCS\u2019 name. We met with HOHCS. Through the meeting we understand more in depth about HOHCS. It was established 66 years ago with the mission and vision of caring with professionalism. It has a progressive spirit and is always-on-the-go with its holistic services.\u201d Bjorn Lou, Director of Universal Environmental Technology Ltd. said.<\/span>

<\/span>Mr. Lou shared with us his feeling after taking part in the Qile Cake Open Sale, \u201cHOHCS has done a great job with Qile Cake. They raised fund for the elderly who had contributed a lot while they were young.\u201d He plans to work on more charity projects with HOHCS. He expects to do more for the Winter Elderly Visit this coming December. \u201cI wish to apply our skill in cleaning to build a clean environment for the families in need. As a keen HOHCS supporter, Manulife has participated in the charity sale of Qile Cake through Manulife (HK) Recreation Club (the Club) for years. Ricky Lam, Regional Director of Manulife and member of the Club said, \u201cThe partnership between Manulife and Qile Cake was established long ago, initiated by a respected mentor, Mr. Raymond Chan who has passed away. The partnership has been blessed by our boss Ms Kareen Chow. This day, Qile Cake Open Sale is one of Manulife\u2019s annual big events.\u201d \u00a0 <\/span>

<\/span>Ricky continued, \u201cQile Cake is one of the events which the Club is committed to mobilise the majority of our members to participate. Our members also treat it as a spectacular family day. As Manulife and HOHCS are partners for years, we have become friends and have established a mutual trust. That\u2019s why we are always happy and enthusiastic with HOHCS activities.\u201d \u00a0 <\/span>

<\/span>Ricky also said that apart from charity sale, he himself wants to participate in more volunteer services, especially to serve the terminally-ill patients who are badly in need of love and care. He hopes as a volunteer, he can walk with them and accompany them at the last journey, hopefully the users would have no regrets when they leave this world.<\/span>
